I was at home, Istanbul, in recent times, and as always feel very good. As I get older, I find every opportunity to reconnect with the national precious. See family and friends and absorption wonderful Istanbul.

I loved our mezze and I can only live it for my dinner happily. Fine flavored with olive oil, lemon juice, spices and pomegranate molasses and walnuts, and they only delicious, but also very useful and easy to make. Here are some of my favorite adsorbent. They are refreshing, delicious, and you will be surprised to see how easy they are. I hope to inspire you to recreate some scrumptious Mezze at home

Kisir; hot bulgur salad with pomegranate molasses

Kisir is a specialty in southeast Turkey, in terms of praise spicier dishes in the country. And offer it welcomed the guests in the homes of Antioch, where my roots are in Gaziantep. This is a wonderful, refreshing salad southern Turkey, Antioch, and one of my favorites, it includes Turkey beloved eggplant, eggplant or "patlican". Traditionally, the eggplant is cooked over an open fire here, which gives a delicious smoky flavor. This dish can provide as part of the "Mezze" - appetizer- or can accompany grilled meats. Dried mint really adds a wonderful flavor to this power, more refreshing

This is a lovely, refreshing salad is very easy and quick to make and makes a wonderful garnish, meze or side dish served with grilled meat, chicken and pasta. At home and in restaurants are providing this power as part of the meze spread with warm pita bread, feta cheese and a lovely hummus and olives. This combination also makes a wonderful alternative and healthy lunch. Watercress can replace lettuce lamb well

Oruk, or (Sam Orugu also referred them) and bread oval balls with bulgur, chopped walnuts and a delicious meat filling, is a very popular dish in my hometown, Antakya (Antioch). Mezze a very special turns up in the table and my mother in every event and festive family gatherings. Oruk Antakya is a copy of delicious kippah, which is the national dish of Lebanon. If you oruk, kofte icli a kippah or a fan, and I hope you give it a go and make these delicious treats at home. Yes, it does take a bit of time and effort, but it's totally worth it. And a very rewarding and fulfilling experience and makes no special day. Also freeze leftovers beautifully.
